Our first America's Army theme is pretty much completed. Just need to get it sliced up. Let us know if you guys need anything, as always!
Comments / critique welcomed.
Thanks!

1. I like the barbed wire. The rest of it is lacking.
2. The color scheme is drab and unexciting. Boring is the word that comes to mind.
3. There is nothing about the left, right, and center blocks that I like. Nothing.
4. The chopped off edges of the topic image star looks tacky.
5. The font for Your Site Name is hopelessly out of place. It looks too civilianesque and metropolitan.
6. The header graphic is, well, semi-cheesy.
7. The horizontal row of links beneath the header graphic doesn't mesh with the barbed wire edging. It is too smooth.
8. The background graphic beneath the left, center, and right blocks I have mixed feelings about. I like the thin vertyical lines in it, but the color of it simply helps the theme drown on itself. The same color might work well, witha different overall color scheme.
9. The far left and far right edged do not merge well with the corners at the top and bottom. They make the theme look more amateurish.
10. If that theme were used by the United States Army for recuiting, the Army would never meet its goals.
In sum, I give it the thumbs down. |
