I am in the process of setting up my forums, I made the group "MEMBER" and I want to set what a member can see/not see. When I click Advanced mode all the options (dropdowns) for like view, read, post, delete, edit, ect... aren't there. The only thing that is showing up is either is not moderator or is.

Does anyone know how to correct this?

Do you have any actual members in "Members"?

No - just me I'm the moderator of them all. Do I need to add myself or someone to it first?

I havent made any new groups except the stock USERS and it works fine with that. Since I dont use any other groups that have been custom made by me Im not sure what the problem would be. Sorry

You don't set permissions for forums on the group page, go into the Forum admin, then go down to forums, permissions and then click advanced mode.

That will work, I just could of sworn you could allow certain user groups and they each have different rights.

Thanks though!

You can use groups for rights, he was just in the wrong place to apply the rights.

Okay here is the break, so I make a thread and I bring up the permissions.. now with my guild I have normal members, and I have recruits.. I don't want the recruits see some of our raid times. (example)

so I go here CLICK ---> http://www.thecompanyguild.com/screenshots/forumpermission.JPG

So you can see there that I can set you can see it, post to it, ect. That's not enough for me... So I made groups.. GUILD MEMBER, GUILD RECRUIT. So I could be more specific. So I now go into Group permissions..

Screenshot: http://www.thecompanyguild.com/screenshots/grouppermission.JPG

So as you can see here, I can see it has the ability so that the group can or can't see it EVEN if they are registered... but there are no drop downs... this is my quarm... is this normal?

If not how do I fix this or do what I want, can I even do this?
