Alright I really need someone to help me out with being able to use themes for websites. I play online games and a few friends and I decided to make a website for a future WoW guild on a new server that comes out.
We currently have basically everything as default..
http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=88556&TabID=761175
I really, really need someone to tell me:
-What programs I will need to download to be able to use themes, and a link on where to get them if possible.
-A quick description on how to set it up (or a link to a manual or something lol)
-How to use themes for my website once I have installed all the programs needed.
As you may have noticed I pretty much don't know anything about making/changing websites so i need as much help as I can get.
Please reply if you can help me out, or send an email to Chthonic_@hotmail.com.
Thanks for reading I hope to hear from someone soon. |

What you need to run themes from here is a domain, webhost, db, postnuke or phpnuke (content management sytem or cms) autotheme lite, and optionally a forum program too.
Domain, you have one already.
webhost, you have one already.
database (db), you will need, sql
postnuke or phpnuke, you will need to get (I recommend postnuke)
autotheme lite, you will need as the themes here require it to run.
forum program, you will need and for postnuke, PNphpBB2 is the one to get.
First you would upload to your server postnuke, then run the install program into the db. Once it is running in basic mode you will upload autotheme into the /modules folder that has been created. You will activate it from within postnuke admin panel. Once that is set you can upload your theme into the /themes folder and activate it from the admin panel. Finally you can install the forums into /modules also and activate it from the control panel.
That is the nutshell version of how to get one of these sites up and running. It is actually quite simple once you get started. More info is available if you get stuck or have questions. The links to finding the programs required are available someone here on this site. Look in the Web Links section for most of them.
