Hello!

I just got the wow4 theme yesterday and almost everything works fine, there are tho, like mentioned earlier some problems still in the forums, when visiting with IE aswell as firefox.

IŽll start with firefox,
my problem (yes I have no idea where to find stuff in .css files) is that when posting a reply, the topic review window below is almost unreadable, I mean the backround is fine, 1 dark 1 lighter row, I like that, but in both of them the font color is black, I would really like to change it to either the gold standard (no idea which html color code that is btw) like the one on usernames and similar, or to white...
Best would be to change it per row seperately like for the dark one to gold and the lighter row to white...
How to go about it and where can i find the appropriate place to change that?

The 2nd Problem in FF is the [code] boxes in posts, the text in it is green, well not a real issue, but id like that to be in that gold color too, the [quote] text is in white which is fine, but if I wanted to change that one, where would i have to look for that aswell?

The way bigger problem I currently face tho is when I use IE and visit the forums.

In topic review windows when posting a reply, I get some bad white frames around it, similar to what has been mentioned here before, but I yet have been unable to fix that, where do I edit what to get rid of that issue?

When I use [code] in topics I get huge grey boxes and thats about it... naturally I would want the same design as I mentioned for firefox, with the gold font and without that huge grey box... Smile Oh the [code] actually shows up, but is surrounded by that grey box...

[quote] works in IE, is in white aswell, but would love to know where I can find the entry aswell if I would want to change the color for that aswell.

The next thing I have found to be strange... it has also mentioned here before I believe, but not 100% sure if that is exactly what I am looking for...

IŽll describe Smile when I go into userlists and I want to find a username, the popup window comes up, but Firefox, all I can see is the text window and the Search button, the button text is white.
The title and the lil text are probably black and thus I cannot see it at all... Now I would also like to change the title and the "..wildcard.."-text to gold aswell as the button text, where is that done? which file(s) and where in those?

In IE it is white at least and thus readable, but same here IŽd like to have it in gold...

Lastly, in both popup windows I would like to change the basic backround which is white to a darker color but yet again I have no idea where to do that Smile This is not majorly important tho at this time, I am just a lil crazy when it comes to stuff like this and I want it all perfect Smile

I might have asked alot of questions which may or may not belong here at all, but I only started with php, and all that a couple days ago, the results you can see here, hopefully you can help me out, as I really want to finish site...

(the wow-logo is only a temp file, I think its ugly, but my gfx artist is one heck of a slowpoke and has not even started with our personal logo... hehe)

I figured out the article title coloring, I simply changed the class from summ1 to left1 in both the summary.html and article.html, that did the trick for me regarding the change from white to gold.

hopefully that makes me a little less n00b than I am ^_^

thx alot, gonna test it right away Smile

I yet found another issue, not sure if you can actually see it, but in IE the survey selection dots are in a white square, which is kinda annoying, I checked the roghtblock.html and the survey module php but cant find anything where to get rid of that... as usual in Firefox this doesnt show up...

Line 25 in themes/wow4/styles/style.css

background-color: #FFFFFF;

Delete that line

sweet, that worked for the survey! Smile cool beans.

Update:

I tried the new css, it basically changed all text to gold, which of course fixed the topic review issue, but is not quite what I was hoping for hehe Smile

the quote is gold too now, and the code still shows in green.

I am gonna take a look and compare the 2 css files, maybe I can learn something and figure it out myself, but ideally I would like to have regular post text in white (as it was with the original css) the quotes in gold and codes in gold and the topic review gold for the dark row and white for the light row, maybe even that for regular topics that each post, depending on the row color is in either gold or white...

I really appreciate your help! IŽll post again if I found anything that solved one of the probs I have Smile

If you use FireFox, download the developer bar for it.
Then you can use the CSS View Style Plugin to hover over items and it will tell you the CSS code that applies to it.

Okay, I finally fixed the code problem in IE, managed to change the colors of quotes and codes, aswell as some others I came along while going over the 2 css files...

The one problem remaining is the black text in the topic review for both IE and FF and the white borders around the topic review when viewing the site in IE.

Ignoring the text color for now, but how do I kill those white borders ?

Thx alot again for helping me out, page really looks awesome Smile

ooo how did you make it so that when reading a post that the username is linked to the profile? where would I need to add that?

I dont see the white on my test PHPNuke site.
Try a Control-F5 on the page where you see it.

And I have no idea on the profile link, that would be a forum code change.. sorry Sad

been digging around some in the css file, compared to your modified css and took a look into some others, I really cant find anything about the white borders, I see nothing in regards for the topic review style in the css at all, yet found something else which kinda got me thinking...

when posting, I managed to get the title input text line to not be white anymore, yet the box where I type in the post message is not affected at all, is that part of another css? maybe a general one for the whole theme, where the forums just pick up the information from there?

the font color when I type is gold in both the title input field aswell the post input field, yet the backround only changed for the title input not the post...

does that make any sense? I havent slept for quite some time now, trying to figure all this out Smile

I hope I am not getting on your nerves already Surprised
