Post subject: Theme creation tutorial - do you know of one?

Hi there all,
I am posting here primarily to find out if anyone knows of a good tutorial on how to build themes.
I am a complete noob to theme making and have not made one before.
If anyone has any help/info on how to start, PLEASE POST HERE!!!!

Thanks Mars!
One problem, All the tutorials seem to be really complecated - i.e. i cant even read them. they all seem to be based as some sort of theme... I'm really confused!
I'm just looking for some easy to understand text and image - based tutorials.
In the meantime, are there any recommendations you could give me as to where to start? Also, how do u make all those awsome graphics for your themes? They are awsome!
And before I forget, will any themes I make using Autotheme work on PHP Nuke? I have download and installed the newly released Autotheme for PHP Nuke. Should your themes, and any themes I might pottentially create, work on PHP Nuke??

| Yes, the only part that won't work are PNphpBB2 themes as they are for a PostNuke specific module. |

| Oh and I use Photoshop for my graphics and have also started to incorporate flash into some of my themes as well. |

Basically, all i posted was -

| I would download lobos turorial and go with that, it comes with the files needed to follow it. |

There are some bits in the tutorial that I really dont understand. Mainly, the bit on the blocks and editing the <td> style...
Did u start of with that tutorial? or did u learn as you went along?
And about the images... How do u create such amazing graphics?
I am completely stuck as to how you do it!

I learned as I went, I already had html down pat, then I got into Photoshop and then flash.
Practice Practice Practice.
and yes, I created all of the graphics that you see in my themes. |

How did u get html down pat then? Had u had loads of experience with it before?
And I do know html, but not in Huge depth. Would that knowledge level be enough to start creating themes? |
