I am posting here primarily to find out if anyone knows of a good tutorial on how to build themes.
I am a complete noob to theme making and have not made one before.
If anyone has any help/info on how to start, PLEASE POST HERE!!!!
I have not come across what I would consider to be good theme tutorial for PostNuke themes in the several months that I have been using PostNuke.
The ones that exist that I have come across are not geared to those such as yourself, who are simply new to it all, Olly.
The theme tutorials that I have come across leave a lot to be desired, and are written over-the-head of many who are new to PostNuke and PHP. |

I wrote a Tutorial for AutoTheme 1.0 specifically for newbies. While AT 1.7 has already hit the streets, the Tutorial is written from "down on earth" where the rest of us newbies live... ... and no matter which version of AT you use, the fundamentals are the same.
If you need a "breakthrough" in how all this works, check out my tutorial entitled, "How Do I Work AutoTheme? -- A Tutorial For Newbies, Non-Techs & Novices Alike". It's available free online...or as a download for members.
Click >>> Online Version non-members
Click >>> Download Version members only
*There's also a simple theme to accompany the Tutorial in the downloads section.
Happy theming,
John |

Think nothing of it. The community(ies) have helped me out a lot...and I do what I can to help back. Initially I was charging 5 bucks a pop for it...to help get my hosting paid up for awhile...then released it for free. I hated having to charge for it, but adding another "free" project to my list didn't make the 'ol lady too happy... Nonetheless, glad to be of service.... |
