Ok, I am new to using this whole autotheme thing but I seemed to of gotten everything working but a few minor problems.. I hope.

First off when I try to post news, only the second article of news shows up. For instance I will post a news article and the one I posted before that will finally show up.

Second how do I get the buttons in the middle to work? The ones that say guild and files and forum and all that good stuff.

Lastly, this Isint really a theme question more a general postnuke one I was hoping someone could help me with. When users register for my site, I have the e-mail verification off, but where you fill everything out it says e-mail address(needed for verification) and when they complete the registration it says check your e-mail for the password even though it doesnt send them an e-mail and it just uses the password they select.

Thanks for any help.

Hi and welcome to Portal Themes!!!

First off could we have a link to your site as it makes it easier for us to follow what is happening at your site.

As for the emailing out of passwords it is just something that is hard coded into the site. I think it can be hacked to remove it but Im not really sure about that. My site does it too and I just ignore it. Laughing

Mars will read this post too and give you some thoughts about the other issues.

Ray

I did that, same problem still, or after setting that do I need to delete all my news and start over? It works when I hit the news link, but doesnt work on the main page.. which doesnt make any sense because the main page is set to the news page. Also any help pertaining to the image buttons?

I have the exact same problem with Realm Theme as far as News showing up, I deleted all the news stories and started over, but it will still only display the 2nd news story

Website is http://www.silent-strike.org/Main/

I can change to any other theme and the news stories show up just fine. I have alternating summaries turned off and I've got AT-Lite 8 installed.

Oh and about the header Karma, there's a seperate download file called RealmHeader with the .psd file and the html file of the header so you can edit the html of those buttons to link to the sections that you want them to go to.

When you turn off alternating summaries you also need to make sure that summary2.html isn't selected anywhere in the Theme config.
All summaries should be set to use summary.html

Thank you Mars!

What I had to do was remove alternating summarys in both the General Configuration and the Home Page Module configuration as well as set the First Alternating Summary to blank and that did the trick.

If you don't know how to edit links in an HTML document I really can't help that much.
Do you have an Web Design program?

I am not saying i dont know how to, its just that when i right clicked on the theme.html file and pressed edit, it opened MS Word, and when i edited the links in them, and the same thing in theme2.html, I uploaded them to the website's theme and all in a sudden, the website was all mixed upand it was displaying things so wrong and like 2 pages ubove each others. I am only asking which program to use to edit them.

Please Advice.

I think mars means use either Microsoft Frontpage or Macromedia Dreamweaver.

open one of the these programs, then goto file, open, theme1 or 2

edit and save
