The shade of green used for this site is not one of my personal favorite shades of green, but this particular site looks very, very nice. The particular shade of green is rather bland and icky, to me on a purely personal level, but the theme is crafted in such a way as to take this very same color and turn it into a winner.

The site has a nice, soft, comfortable look to it. First impressions are important, and this site yields one of the nicer first impressions of any that I have seen, especially as far as PostNuke type sites are concerned.

I especially like the right side blocks. The grainy type gray background adds to the aesthetic appeal of the site. The alternating green and white of the center block stories is also a nice touch, as are the chopped off top corners of the center block welcoming message and Happenings at Ray's Forum sections.

The site has the softness of a feminine touch without looking feminine, and that is not a subtle feat, by any means.

The only things that I dislike about the site's front page, if I am nitpicking, would be the very small font size used for the links blocks in the horizontal section at the top, and the Search button at the top which seems to have evaded the theme designer's attention, somehow or other. The plain gray Search button is noticeable, but could have been rendered in a more aesthetically pleasing and color-coordinated fashion, in my opinion, where this particular site is concerned.

I don't know if I have ever seen a PostNuke theme that I would rate as a ten. Maybe someday, but not up until now. If I liked the shade of green better, I might have given this site a 9, instead of an 8, but if the site's owner favors this shade of green, then the point of contention merely falls to one of pure, personal taste, and that varies widely from individual to individual, and does not properly fall into the right versus wrong categories.

The look of this site is impressive, and I admire the handiwork of whoever created this theme.

Laughing /me scratches his head and wonders who the hell designed that site anyway....

Seriously, Mars created that site for me as he did the last one and the next one that I have seen glimmers off.

My intent with the site, and it is a constant work in progress, is primarily to store stuff and play with the features of postnuke. It is not a clan site or any specific theme at all. It is a fun place for me to mess with things. My thanks to you for your kind words about the look and your score of it. I wanted a soft, non-in your face site or anything gaudy. I like it and ver3 is in the works.

Ray

Very much so. It died peacefully in its sleep.

New site with, once again, little to no content is wwwdotoldmanraydotcom.
