Post subject: Autotheme keeps giving me crap!

When i try to edit one of my autothemes (with autotheme) it says that the file is not writable!
what do i do bout that?

| You need to set the theme folder to 777 and all the files in it to 777 as well in order to use the online editor. |

btw what do you use for you graphics?
and how would i change the "logging you in, hang tight" thing when people log in? |

I use Photoshop 7.01
And that is built into the core so it would be a hack to change it. |

is it ok to change the way it looks then (like the background color) and if so, how do i pull that off? |
