I conducted the following brute force experiment because I needed to know which .css file was being used:

PNTheme.css is in:
/www/modules/PNphpBB2/templates/PNTheme

realm.css, default.css are in:
/www/modules/PNphpBB2/templates/PNTheme/styles

I renamed ALL .css files one by one and tried to see which one would bring the forum down when renamed. I exited the browser each time and used ctrl F5 to refresh. I also switched the option "use theme matching" off and on each time. To my surprise, nothing I did had any effect on the forum (or anything). So now I´m more at a loss than ever trying to figure out what files are controlling the look of the forum.

Even after all the .css files have been renamed the board is working as if I´d done nothing.

The plot thickens. I just finished upgrading my other website from standalone Phpbb2 to PNphpBB2. I used exactly the same versions of everything I used in the one above, including the same themes.

After installing the realm theme, I uploaled the zip file you gave me expecting it was going to look exactly like the first one. Lo and behold! The forum took on the colors of the Postnuke theme! Yes, it's purple just the way I wanted.

I've looked to see if I somehow screwed up on the realm.css file on the first site but it's exactly the same as the one used on the second. I can't figure out why they don't look the same.

I'm happy that the second one looks just right.

The only mystery is I can't get the forum to default to wide screen on the second one. I applied the theme2.html the way you suggested.

None of this is a serious problem at all, but if you can figure out why realm.css works on http://www.eq2hispano.eq2guild.net/ but not on http://www.eq2enchanter.magic-host.org/ that'd be nice.

It will be in forums.css in the themes\realm\forums folder.
