Hi all.

I've searched the forums and found that I can incorporate a captcha type of security during the signup process to prevent spam users from signing up and blasting my forums.

My concern is that I still receive about 6-10 bogus signups a day.

Similar to another users post - I like to have a "clean" memberlist if possible.

I'm not sure if I have something set up incorrectly or if the bots are simply outsmarting the security. I guess it's possible that actual people are doing this, but it just seems odd that it would be an every day occourence.

I'm open for any suggestions: www.immortalreigns.com

Thank you in advance.

It is tough as they actually are paying people to do the signups too.
But they also might be registering through your forums so go into Forum Admin, General Configuration and set Enable account activation to Admin.

Ok - I have made it so that when a user signs up I receive the email to validate that user, but one of my admins told me that the gfx-chk or captcha code is not working and getting bypassed.

Even with me receiving emails to validate users - I'm still getting some spam on the forums and new users are signing up.

Could it be that something is set incorrectly? I've looked everywhere that I know of.

You only downloaded the theme from here, the PHPNuke is the system it is running on.
