I just purchased a Joomla theme, but turns out I can't use it in Joomla 1.5. Is there any way to convert it?

You just need to turn on legacy support.

What mars said but you also will not be able to install using the included .xml file. You need to go into the modules section of your admin and turn both legacy modules on. Then you need to unzip the template package and upload the contents to your templates folder. You should then be able to select the theme and use it with no problem. If you run into any problems let me know as I am still looking at the 1.5 code layout.

Thank you! I got it uploaded and it seems to be working ok. The only problem I'm running into is on the positions (right, left, top). There are just those three. Is there a way to add more? Maybe one or two more on each side and one on the top over the main logo picture?

Its on template PTEQ2Joomla.

Ultimately what I want to do is take out the main logo picture at the top, then have my own pictures pull up randomly on page reload.

Thank you!
Michelle

Yea there is. Just open index.php and you'll see the left, center, and right areas. If you want the look of the center copy the center code and place it where you want it then change the center to area1 or another "area". That will place more blocks where you want.

The random picture thing will probably have to be done using javascript but I'm not sure. Mars would know better than I would about that.
