Hi,
I purcased the pt9 Theme "thanks looks Great" but am having a problem with the blocks: on the right if any block is more than 130 in width then the block brakes apart and I get a black strip down the block, also on the left is more then 140 the sides of the blocks expands to accomodate the width but the tops of blocks do not, and the middle ones if I put a news item and its to long the whole thing brakes up

Thanks Wonky

I will look into the left and right but the center is designed for short news clips with the Read More link used for the full article.

You can't fit your content to the blocks?

In order for those blocks to be made wider it would be a complete recompile of the theme.
with the design of that being as it is, it isn't possible to have them stretch without redoing the graphics.

Well it really depends on what you are looking for.
If you just want them wider fixed width or if you want them expandable.

Expandable will take some serious work.

http://www.portalthemes.com/downloads/pt9b.zip

Replace the files in your theme with the ones in the zip.

mars,
Thanks for the free theme pt7. It is the best theme I have found anywhere!

I have a similar issue to this one, I was searching for the answer and got this close. My size issue with the center block is that it shrinks too much by about 2mm on each side and my banner ad in the block sticks out the sides. Here is a link to my web site: http://cuttingedgetrader.com/index.php

I will past the center block code here:

<table width="90%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center">
<tr>
<td>
<table width=100% border=0 cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0>
<tr>
<td> <img src="{image-path}pt7_11.gif" width=68 height=24 alt=""></td>
<td background="{image-path}pt7_12.gif" width=100% height=24 alt="" align="center" class="centertitle">
<b> <!-- [block-title] --></b>
</td>
<td> <img src="{image-path}pt7_13.gif" width=69 height=24 alt=""></td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>
<table width=100% border=0 cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0>
<tr>
<td> <img src="{image-path}pt7_19.gif" width=68 height=19 alt=""></td>
<td background="{image-path}pt7_20.gif" width=100% height=19 alt=""></td>
<td> <img src="{image-path}pt7_21.gif" width=69 height=19 alt=""></td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>
<table width=100% border=0 cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0>
<tr>
<td background="{image-path}pt7_28.gif" width=14 alt=""></td>
<td background="{image-path}pt7_29.gif" valign="top" align="center" alt=""><!-- [block-content] --></td>
<td background="{image-path}pt7_30.gif" width=16 alt=""></td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>
<table width=100% border=0 cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0>
<tr>
<td> <img src="{image-path}pt7_31.gif" width=14 height=32 alt=""></td>
<td background="{image-path}pt7_32.gif" width=100% height=32 alt=""></td>
<td> <img src="{image-path}pt7_33.gif" width=16 height=32 alt=""></td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
</table>

Is there a setting I can change in this code so that the block is about 4mm wider at the minimum width?

Thanks in advance
