I am sorta of a Newbie here.
My question is : what portal does these themes work with?
I have :
post-nuke
PHp-nuke
MD-pro
phpBB2?
invision
and more that I cannot think of right now.
Will the Themes here work with all of the above? Or just one or two of them.
I have been using the Auto-install and I am trying to learn how to install everything Manual now.
Any information will be greatly appreicated.

P.S.
I noticed that this was a PNphpbb2? Does that mean there is a New Version for PHPbb2 out that I was unaware of? Or is this a different type altogether? I just want to cover all possiblables? Very undecided on which one I want to put up right now. In the past 6 months I have installed and Deleted probable about 30 or 40 different types Forums and Portals? LOL |

Most of us here us PostNuke. Most of the themes here require AutoTheme Lite .7. AutoTheme Lite is just a small module that makes the themes work in the postnuke environment and easily obtainable.
There is always much debate as to which cms is the best. My personal opinion is to go with postnuke.
As for the forums, I use PNphpBB2 I have not tried the others as all my needs are met with this one. There are several different versions available but in reality they are just revisions. I use the "E" version but I think the one here is the "F" version. I will get around to upgrading it at some point.
Think up the rest of your questions and we will try our best to answer those as well.
And welcome to the site!! |

As Ray has said the themes here use AutoTheme, which makes the themes available on
MD-Pro, PostNuke, PHPNuke, Envolution, and CPG-Nuke
The forums here are PNphpBB2 which is a fork of PHPBB for PostNuke and MD-Pro
My personal recommendation at this point would be to go with MD-Pro and PNphpBB2 |

I got Autothemes 1.7 after buying Version 1. Havn't really went into depth with them tho. I am on Vacation and was going to try to tear all of them apart and put them back together and see what score I came up with.LOL
the two anwers above were great. They answered my questions. Now all I have to do is get off my lazy tail and follow through with what I said I was going to do...LOL 1st day and I have slept ALL DAY LONG !! LOL going to go very quickly at that rate...but I will be up the rest of the night seeing as to what kind of trouble I can get into....LOL
Thanks Heaps guys...those are a great help. I have been using Fantistico to install everything but wanted to learn how to Manully install the different Portals and Forums. I am going to shoot 1st attemp failed, I didn't put my password in, for MD-Pro as everyone seems to like it alot. From what I have seen of it.....I like it also.
I have 5 domains names with anywhere from 1.5 gig to 3 gig on each one. I wanted to fill the biggest part of the disk space up without running out of bandwidth...LOL Get all of them linked together. I have two different hosts right now and seriously considering getting another one. Thanks again...you have been a great help.
Have a good one.

Just another stupid Questions.
where can I get Info on modifing post-nuke. What I mean is the Download section? Also would like to have Mod so I can enter HTML code in
Blocks on the pages. That was what I didn't like about post-nuke to start with. Also everytime I tried to enter HTML code my server would send me a Warning Message about someone trying to HACK my Post-Nuke with MY E-Mail addy sent to MY e-mail addy..LOL Thought you might get a kick out of that bit of Info. At least they are on their toes...LOL
If someone knows of a Site that has a Lot of Mods for Post-Nuke I would appreicate it if you would either post it in here or
PM me.
I sure am glad the .7 and 1.7 will work...that made my day...LOL
Thanks Guys

Probably one of the best sites to get info on how to make things work with the coding and such as well as getting the latest scoops on new mods is still at http://www.postnuke.com. Wondering through the forums over there and asking questions about specific blocks will more often than not get you tons more info than you need. Quite often I just google and look for answers that way, surprisingly it works better than I thought it would but then lots of people use postnuke and are constantly developing new features.
You are looking to put html in a block, Im not sure what you mean by this but if you mean html pages then I use PostWrap but then there is htmlpages etc. Just not sure what you are trying for here. |
