A fellow clan member recently purchased your Team Fortress 2 theme for our Nuke evolution website. When compared to your demo of the theme, there are several differences that I would like to fix. First off, the main menu is much simpler, and I like that better. And the user info block has better images, is there a way to use those instead? Also, where can I get the forum block that you have above the news section?
our site:
www.psychosanctus.com/psycho
demo:
http://phpnuke.portalthemes.com/index.php (DMTF2* theme)
When I view the theme in admin, there is a whole bunch of errors at the bottom...
Notice: Use of deprecated function sql_query in /home/psyosa44/public_html/psycho/includes/sql_layer.php on line 43
Notice: Use of deprecated function sql_fetch_row in /home/psyosa44/public_html/psycho/includes/sql_layer.php on line 57
Notice: Use of deprecated function sql_fetch_row in /home/psyosa44/public_html/psycho/includes/sql_layer.php on line 57
Notice: Use of deprecated function sql_fetch_row in /home/psyosa44/public_html/psycho/includes/sql_layer.php on line 57
etc etc etc
Any ideas? Help? Will the arcade mod work in this theme? |

Well that worked, thanks!
There seems to be lots of problems, though all of them are minor. I'm assuming the demo's on your page are using the original phpnuke? Maybe I'll just install that instead... I was told evolution was the way to go, but it seems like there is a crap load of stuff I don't need and it looks so unorginized. I like the simple menu and the user info box you guys have on your demo of DMtf2 *. Looks a lot better then...

Evo is a good system but like you said it is PACKED with extras that don't always work well together.
If you want to change to a regular Nuke system then I always recommend RavenNuke
If you do switch, just reply to the theme download email and I will send you the regular Nuke version. (I might not reply for a few hours as I have to go into town to get internet access still) |

RavenNuke is a regular nuke system? Could you tell me the system that you run for the demos located here: http://phpnuke.portalthemes.com/index.php
I really like the user info block, the main menu, and the forum block above the news. They all offer simplicity, and they look really good. I would love to have something the same or similar on our site. Does RavenNuke come with phpbb installed?
Thanks for answering my questions so well, by the way. I don't see that anywhere else and I really appreciate it. |

| That is phpnuke 7.9, and ravennuke will look just like it. And yes it does come with phpbb |

cool, well I'll be installing that soon. (assuming its not any more difficult then nuke evolution.. but I think I can handle it)
the email that bought the TF2 theme is fishboneree@hotmail.com, and if you could, it would be awesome if you could send him the 7.9 or ravennuke version of DMtf2*
We really appreciate it, thanks for all of your help! |

awesome! thank you! I have it up and running now.

However, I find it confusing as to how to keep DMtf2 as my theme for everyone... guests, users, admins etc. (without letting them choose a theme)
Also, how would one go about editing the user info block on the right? To get rid of certain things I find unnecessary. And I'm assuming the forum block in the center is a downloaded one? |

Usually somewhere in the admin panel for the themes there is a box to check or uncheck to allow/disallow users to select the theme.
Im using Evolution so I cant say how it is in Raven but Im sure that it is a similar setup.

Alright thanks, I guess deleting all of the other themes would help too?
Also I think I figured out how to edit the blocks.. I just opened the PHP files and edited them directly. I have lots of HTML experience and a bit of PHP so I can figure out what to delete as long as I backup the original. Is this the way it's supposed to be done?
The only problem I have at the moment is the stupid forum. I cant post on it. When I go to put a new thread, it takes me to my profile. Any ideas? It says im not a subscriber to Psycho Land... I dont want to have a subscription... where do I turn that off?
Thanks in advance, you guys are life savers!

I guess it wouldn't be possible to send the php files you used for your user info and center forum block on your test page ( http://phpnuke.portalthemes.com/index.php ) for DMtf2?
www.psychosanctus.com/psycho
I tried to mimic it, but I am failing. Still no word on why my forum isn't working either. (asked question on multiple forums and no one understands why?) |

I will have my internet tonight hopefully.
If you want, PM me an FTP login and an admin login to the site and I will look into the forums and also upload the blocks for you. |

I can upload blocks fine, I just have different versions of them and I am trying to fix them to look like yours. I am excellent at editing HTML (very easy) but if I want to get rid of a link in php, its much different and harder to find due to the imbedding and such.
It's not technically my site, so I wouldn't feel comfortable giving you the access that you need. I am sorry. If you have the PHP files themselves, I'd be happy to take them but then again, you don't have to. You have already helped me more then you should have and I thank you for that. I am learning lots of things from you. Thanks. |
