Post subject: Image not showing up in blocks

Hi I hope you can help me. I cant get any images to show up on blocks I made for the news block. Currently Im replacing the news picture or topic picture with pictures I need to show on the front page. Im using
<IMG SRC="http://www.example">...... and between " " I put in the address of the picture I want to show up in the block. The problem Im running into is that when I have the block open and hit html and add that code in...I see the picture in the body. I save the block and look on the front page and the picture does not show. I go to the block and hit edit and open html up and its as if the code had disappeared. Im at a loss to what I could be doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated. I understand that if you need admin to take a look I can make you one. Any help would be great.

You need to make sure the image tag is set to allowed in config.php
The site status I use here is for PostNuke sites, I am pretty sure there is an equivalent block for PHPNuke though.
