I've seen several posts on this, but I still can't get the colors to change.

I'm running LOTR theme for phpNuke 7.9 patched.

There are two specific areas of text that I'm trying to change. Both are black now. The first one is the current time and date text and the second one is the "Page 1" text ("Page 2, 3...." are already white).

Yes, I've tried editing the forums.css file, but nothing happens. I've been editing the "nav" class and the "gen" class since that is what the source code reveals.

Put this at the very bottom of forums.css

td.gensmall,td.nav {color:#FFFFFF;}

Then do a refresh on the page.

Thanks for the reply, but that's ineffective. Nothing happened. All of the text I'm trying to change is still black.

There are three specific areas I'm looking at. The "You last visited...." and "The time now is..." on the main forum page. The "Users browsing this forum..." and "You can reply/edit/post...." on each forum area page. And, the "Go to page 1" on each thread page.

Are you sure you edited the right file?
I just looked at your forums.css and the above line isn't there?

Yes, I edited the correct file. I edited the forums.css file located in the theme directory for the theme I'm editing. I'm not working on the "active" theme. I'm working on a copy of the active theme.

But, I just edited the "active" theme also (and left the code in the css file) and still nothing.

Ok, I now see the entry and the text you want changed is now white.
Have you cleared your temporary internet files since the change?

Ok, so you pushed some secret admin backdoor button....

j/k

Thanks for the help. I don't know why it wouldn't change before. I refreshed, closed the browser and re-opened.... it just wouldn't change.
