In the case of having to backup just the actual forum material (threads and their contents) what is the best or only method?
Lets say that I was having issues with the site or forums and wanted to delete and reinstall PNphpBB2 yet I dont want to lose all the threads then what procedures could I do? And if this can be done then how do I put them back into their fresh and clean database?
Any thoughts would be appreciated. |

Ugh.
There is a backup DB command in the forum admin but I have never used it.
This is why I do mysqldump with PhpMyAdmin on my sites at least monthly, I also do them if I am trying something radically different that could screwup the site as well. |

Ive seen that in the control panel but I have been hesitant to try it. Maybe I will try that on my test site and see if I and the material survive it!
I will let you know.
PS
I suspect you know why Im asking this..... |
