AutoTheme gets installed to the root of the site, (wherever your index.php is the root)
You are probably still seeing deepblue as you need to select in your profile as well. |

| Thanks Mars. I want the default to be changed so that guests see the theme I choose. Is that going to happen when I choose a different one in preferences? |

| Yes, the one in preferences is for people that are not logged in. |

| OK, I started again as I seemed to be having some problems! I have downloaded the autotheme but how do I upload themes from this site to the autotheme? Sorry, I have never used anything like this before so complete beginner. Once I have worked out how to add the free ones I will want a custom one doing (will pay of course!) |

| Once you have AutoTheme installed you install our themes to the THEMES folder on your site just like any other theme. |

The AutoTheme folder goes in the Modules folder so you end up with
Modules\AutoTheme
Then the theme goes in the Themes folder like
Themes\2142Blue
And yes you FTP them to the site. |

Autotheme in modules? In the guide it says to add autotheme into your root directory. I have uninstalled my first phpnuke and have just reinstalled without the auto theme yet. So I ftp it to the module foler not the root?
From the install guide:
FTP
As most hosting providers supply FTP access, this is likely the most common way to install CMS modules, including AutoTheme.
* Extract the compressed distribution file (.zip, .tar.gz or .sit) to your local computer
* FTP upload the entire contents to your CMS root directory (accept any directory overwrite warnings. These directories are not being overwritten. The warnings are generated because the directory already exists, but this is fine.) |

When you unzip the AutoTheme zip file you will see a folder called Modules and inside that folder is the Autotheme folder.
What you want to do is match the folder structure to that on your site.
So if you upload both folders then you would do it to the root, otherwise you just upload the AutoTheme folder from your local Modules folder to the Modules folder on your site. |

Ah ha, all working fine! Thanks for your help. I will get on with the free themes first then if I cannot customise one myself I will come back and ask about one being done.
Maybe you would tell me if you could customise one like our forum at
www.125bikersclub.co.uk/125forum and if so is it expensive? |
