Post subject: A Must Have Module For Themes From This Site !!!!
Many people have been to this site and are making use of the THEMES that Mars makes and provides. But..........

.......the one thing that some people forget is that all the themes that are created here require is AUTOTHEME LITE .8.

The themes are made with this and require the AutoTheme Lite module to make them work on your site. If you dont have it and try to load the new theme on your site I guarantee that you will get an error message.

Go to

AutoTheme Lite Website and get the module from the download section or google for it and you should be able to find it from other sources. Once you have it then it is very easy to install into your /modules section and then initialise and activate it.

Enjoy your new theme!

No, there is a free version that works just fine.

AutoTheme Lite version .8 is the free one.

I would suggest a slight name change for this thread from

A Must Have Module For Themes From This Site !!!!

to

Are you sure it's installed correctly?
AutoTheme works just fine on .760 with a few small bugs.

Vargos,

I suspect that it may lie in a human error made during the installation process. Have you followed the installtion instructions for the AutoTheme module to the letter? Have you made the necessary files writable, such as theme.cfg and others?

I have installed the AutoTheme module on three different websites running version 7.60 of PostNuke, and the AutoTheme module and the individual themes worked fine.

It is possible. I'll remove and again. I did not receive any errors when i installed. Plus the autothemse is in the third party ctrl panel and shows as active in the modules.

thx

ok re installed and it seems to work now.

If i were to download some of the free themes to test out do i have to worry about compatability? i see some go back many many months. will they all still work with the current postnuke?

thx

They should all work, you might just have to adjust the CSS file a little bit.

blocks administration is not working in a-t lite .8 and or .851

i have seen all kinds of negative posts about autotheme.
why can we not have the option of using xanthia with themes made
by portal themes?

I have started releasing all of my new themes using Xanthia for PN.
I am going to be porting the older ones as well when I have time.

I admit I am a rookie at this. I currently am working with a website that was designed and admin'ed by someone else. That person had
PHPNuke-Clan: Engine Check

The version you have is 3.0.1
The latest version out is 3.0.1

and also shows in the admin page vwaradmin.

My question is can I install the module (autotheme lite) neccessary to use the theme i just purchased with the website configured with these things or will there be a conflict?

I tried finding support info, but it is sparse, so i was forced to write you. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

P.S. what is the wait time to receive e-mail for downloading my newly purchased template?

<DIV>i have the autotheme installed.. but i can't seem to find out where to install the themes.  Also... when we say themes are we talking about the Postnuke themes or the PNphpBB2 themes that are integrated with the postnuke theme?  I'm really trying to get some new themes for the PNphpBB2  module for my postnuke site and having a hard time doing so.</DIV>

All you have to do is upload the themes into your themes directory on your web server. Then select it in the AutoTheme administration.

I have about 10 different themes that are in /themes and o&shy;nly 3 show up in the postnuke settings for themes... in the phpbb forums, i have tried to put in new themes but i o&shy;nly get 1 option to choose from in the forums config.

PnphpBB2 themes load automatically by the name of the PostNuke theme, so if you have a postnuke theme named Theme1, then PNphpBB2 will try to load the files for that theme name.

The thing with autotheme is you create one theme for postnuke or phpnuke and it works across both platforms only change is the autotheme program really. Anyhow it must be an easy system to use see alot of default temps out there on their website mainly just rehashed stuff.
